Eden Hazard is 'confident' he can still hit the peak performance levels he showed during his time with Chelsea at Real Madrid.
The forward's Los Blancos career has been blighted by injuries, while how he looks after his body has also come under scrutiny from the Spanish press after turning up to pre-season training out of shape on a couple of occasions.
Hazard, now 31, has struggled to live up to his €100m transfer fee even when he has been available for selection, scoring just six goals in 65 games following his 2019 move from Stamford Bridge.
The Belgium international is currently working his way back from surgery on his calf and could return to training before the end of April, and Sport report that Hazard feels he can still replicate the form that he showed in his Chelsea days.
Hazard became one of the Premier League's leading players after signing from Lille in 2012. He featured in the PFA Team of the Year four times and won the Players' Player, Young Player and FWA Footballer of the Year awards in his seven-year stay in England.
He is eyeing a return to action on May 11 when Real Madrid host Levante in La Liga and would hope to be in peak condition for the Champions League final on May 28 should Los Blancos beat Manchester City in the last four.
Real would then meet Liverpool or La Liga foes Villarreal at the Stade de France in Paris.
