Simon Jordan has once again criticised Jack Grealish and labelled him a “moron” after the Manchester City man’s jibe at Newcastle winger Miguel Almiron during the club’s title celebrations.

Grealish was celebrating his maiden Premier League winners’ medal on Sunday after City dramatically saw off Aston Villa 3-2. Grealish did not see any action against his former side as fellow sub Ilkay Gundogan inspired City to victory and the title.

The England man though was at the hub of Man City’s celebrations and had plenty to say during the parade through the city.

Grealish, speaking to Bernardo Silva, was asked what changed the game against Villa. And the former Villan suggested team-mate Riyad Mahrez was playing like Almiron before he was withdrawn.

He also took a swipe at his pal Silva. Before the Portuguese midfielder retorted with “keep Jack Grealish on the bench”.

But talkSPORT host Jordan has lambasted Grealish’s dig at Almiron.

Jordan said: “The bottom line is it takes Jack Grealish back to where he belongs in moron territory engaging his mouth before he engages his brain.

“There’s no problem with him having banter with his team-mates that’s absolutely fine. If someone was to say he was taking the mickey out of Riyad Mahrez you’d say it was banter. They’ve got that rapport. If you take it out another domain and you pick another player, single him out and ridicule him because you think you’re in a position to do so, where’s that going to end?

“Someone somewhere is going to say by the way, who are you? What gives you the right to make that comparison? Why would you want to do it?

“Where does your arrogance stop and intelligence begin? I’m sure he meant it tongue-in-cheek but why pick on an individual player?

Grealish is a ‘bit-part player’

“Obviously in the back of his mind, he thinks that player probably is not good and that’s his prerogative. But why does he need to do that to that particular player when Man City are talking about their success? Why does he think he is on a platform where he can look down on that player?

“Jack Grealish is a talented player. He’s a long way from being a £100m player. And he’s incredibly fortuitous to be playing for a club like Man City that’s enabled him to win a Premier League because I don’t think his contribution has taken Man City to that Premier League.

“I think he’s a bit-part player, so he would’ve been better served saying take me off the pitch more. It’s a lack of awareness.”

It’s not the first time Jordan has verbally attacked Grealish, who has been urged to “grow up” by Roy Keane. He called Grealish a “moron” in December when both he and Phil Foden had  been dropped from the first team following Manchester City’s 7-0 triumph over Leeds United.

The pair had been out celebrating and turned up to training worse for wear.

Jordan doubled down on those comments in February and refused to apologise after labelling Grealish’s behaviour “moronic”.
