Sadio Mane told why he can’t perform Liverpool U-turn and must join Bayern Munich by current boss

Sadio Mane will “feel the best” at Bayern Munich and has been told why he must push to leave Liverpool this summer by Senegal boss, Aliou Cisse.

The Reds ace, 30, has reportedly made it known he is seeking a new challenge this summer. Mane has been everything Liverpool fans could’ve hoped for and more. Indeed, if his Anfield tenure does conclude at the six-year mark, he has already cemented his place as a modern-day Liverpool great.

The Reds appear to have moved swiftly to sign a suitable replacement in the forward line.

A move for Benfica’s Darwin Nunez is in its final stages. The Uruguayan underwent his medical today (Monday) and Benfica have already confirmed the move in an official statement.

Nunez’s arrival will soften the blow of losing Mane. The Reds reportedly want £42.5m for his signature, though primary contender Bayern Munich have tried Liverpool’s patience with their opening offers.

Indeed, they have seen two bids rejected with the second totalling just £30m. What reportedly angered the Reds was the fact around £9m of the value was related to scarcely attainable add-ons.

Regardless, Bayern are poised to table a third bid and Mane’s boss at international level, Aliou Cisse, has implored his star man to leave Merseyside as soon as possible.

His reasoning stems from his desire for Senegal to have a strong showing at the Qatar World Cup.

The showpiece event will kick off in November and is already less than six months away. Cisse explained why Mane will thrive in Munich and urged him to wrap up an exit for the benefit of his World Cup ambitions.

“He will feel the best at Bayern”

“It’s not just Sadio,” said Cisse (via the Sun). “I’m going to talk about it for all those players who are in a situation where they have to find a club. It’s complicated.

“Why? Because it is all this problem that awaits us for the World Cup which is in November.

“And I tell my boys to try to settle the contract problems so that when their respective championships resume, they will have already found a base. I heard about Sadio at Bayern.

“Bayern is intensity, pressure football with a German coach. Sadio played in Salzburg in Austria which is a border country, and that means he is not going into unknown territory.

“For me, the club where he will feel the best is Bayern.”

Sadio Mane a true Liverpool great

Mane’s current Liverpool tallies stand at 120 goals and 49 assists in 269 matches. However, the forward’s impact at Anfield cannot be quantified simply by statistics.

Mane has often been the most aggressive exponent of the Liverpool press from their front three. His ability to rattle defenders and put doubt in their minds has helped Liverpool become the potent attacking force they are.

Furthermore, his versatility was on full display last season when seamlessly transitioning into the centre-forward role.

Luis Diaz’s instant impact made the Colombian undroppable in the big games. Mane was the one to vacate his usual position when moving centrally and played out of position in each of Liverpool’s EFL Cup and FA Cup final victories.

He made the PFA Team of the Year in four of his six seasons at the club. He also won the double prize of Liverpool Fans’ Player of the Year and Liverpool Players’ Player of the Year in the 2016-17 campaign.

If his time on Merseyside does conclude this summer, Sadio Mane will forever be remembered as one of the most crucial and beloved plays in a fantastic period for the club.
