Transfer Gossip: Tottenham to launch £77m bid for striker Conte is ‘crazy’ about; Klopp sets new Liverpool plan for Jude Bellingham deal

Antonio Conte chats to Fabio Paratici

Tottenham are ready to launch a club-record bid to sign Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez, while Jurgen Klopp has a new plan in place to sign Jude Bellingham and Friday’s Transfer Gossip reveals that three Premier League clubs have learned how much they will have to pay to sign Adrien Rabiot.

CONTE READY TO GO BIG FOR INTER MAN

Tottenham are reportedly ready to table a huge offer worth up to £77million for Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez, with Antonio Conte known to be ‘crazy’ about getting a deal done for his former forward.

Martinez was a pivotal player for Conte during his two-year stint as Inter Milan boss which culminated in Serie A title success.

And it appears the Italian wants to renew that relationship at Tottenham, with Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla claiming a bid is imminent.

He told TV channel Sportitalia: “Lautaro Martinez wants to stay at Inter at all costs. But Tottenham, who are working on Kane’s renewal, will make an important proposal for Lautaro, from €90 million upwards I am told.

“Then legitimately he can decide to evaluate, to stay. But Tottenham will make an attempt.

“For Lautaro, his will is ironclad, there is no room for manoeuvre. But Tottenham will try with their budget because Conte is crazy about him, then Lautaro and Inter will decide.”

Lukaku return could signal Martinez exit

While Inter are not keen on losing their talismanic striker, the fact they are close to sealing a return for Romelu Lukaku and are also chasing a deal for Paulo Dybala suggests that are open to the sale of Martinez – for the right price.

The Argentina striker has scored 74 goals in 180 career games. However, he is also capable of playing as a No.10, which would give Conte another attacking weapon to play with.

KLOPP TO DELAY BELLINGHAM MOVE

Jurgen Klopp will reportedly wait and sign Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham in 2023, with Liverpool already tipped to have finished their transfer business for the summer.

The Reds snapped up highly-touted Aberdeen right-back Calvin Ramsay on Thursday. The Anfield outfit will pay an initial £4million for the 18-year-old. A further £2.5m in add-ons will follow linked to appearances and trophy success.

The Scotland Under-21 star is set to sign a five-year deal and be Trent Alexander-Arnold’s understudy. He will join fellow new boys Darwin Nunez and Fabio Carvalho on Merseyside.

But, according to The Sun, Ramsay could be the club’s last addition of the summer.

The report states that while Klopp would love to get Bellingham on board as soon as possible, he has now parked that idea until next summer.

That is largely due to the fact that Dortmund are not willing to sell another top star, having already offloaded Erling Haaland to Manchester City.

The Reds will also have holes to fill in their midfield next summer. Both Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita will be out of contract.

Liverpool will, instead, now turn their focus to player exits.

Bayern Munich are still in the hunt for Sadio Mane, with a deal almost certain to get done. Meanwhile, Takumi Minamino is a top target for French duo Lyon and Monaco.

PREM TRIO LEARN BARGAIN RABIOT PRICE

Juventus are reportedly willing to let Chelsea, Manchester United and Newcastle midfield target Adrien Rabiot leave for a fee in the region of £13million this summer.

Calciomercato reports that the Premier League trio are chasing the France international, along with PSG.

And with one year remaining on his contract this summer will be their last chance to command a significant fee.

There is also mention of the 27-year-old staying in Turin. However, it’s more likely a sale will take place – if an appropriate offer comes in.

Chelsea, United and Newcastle are all in the market for a midfielder and Rabiot certainly has the pedigree.

The former PSG star is fast approaching 400 career games and has also been capped 29 times by his country.
