As we are all well aware of by now, Chelsea are trying hard to sign Leicester City defender Wesley Fofana before the transfer window closes this summer.
Chelsea have already had two official offers knocked back by Leicester, offers that didn’t reach the asking price. However, Chelsea are surely receiving encouragement now that they can agree this fee.
According to The Telegraph though, it will have to be a world-record fee for a defender.
Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers continues to be coy on the situation when asked yesterday, and he is certainly unconvinced that Fofana will be staying.
Do you think Wesley will still be with you come the end of the window?
Brendan Rodgers: "I don't think about it."

And as in the above article, when asked if there was a cut-off point for Leicester to consider any bids for Fofana, Rodgers said: “That will be up to the ownership, the end decision will be down to them.
It appears that he isn’t confident that Fofana will be staying, which suggests to me personally, that Chelsea are getting very close with this now.
