Manchester United and Chelsea duelling to sign Barcelona duo – Fabrizio Romano

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Fabrizio Romano has offered a detailed report on the future of some of the Barcelona stars including Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Frenkie de Jong.

As per the Italian transfer expert, the Gabonese international had agreed personal terms with Chelsea a while ago. He is willing to move to Stamford Bridge as he does prefer playing in the UEFA Champions League.

Not to mention, Aubameyang has an excellent rapport with Thomas Tuchel. The duo had worked together at Borussia Dortmund, with the striker even scoring as many as 79 goals in 95 competitive matches under the German tactician.

Such synergy could prove to be vital in Chelsea’s quest to find a replacement for Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner this summer. However, Romano suggests that Blues could face stiff competition from Manchester United.

The Red Devils are apparently keeping tabs on Aubameyang’s situation at Barcelona. They are open to signing the Gabonese international as part of their operation to sign a supporting forward for Cristiano Ronaldo.

Speaking of Man United, the Premier League giants are also in a tussle with their rivals Chelsea over Frenkie de Jong.

Recent revelations suggest the Barcelona midfielder could end up remaining at Camp Nou, but it appears the Premier League duo is not willing to give up just yet, with Chelsea, in particular, pushing for the deal to sign the Dutch international.

Manchester United are involved in the scene as well, but the signing of Casemiro and the lack of Champions League football may rule them out of contention, in the race to sign De Jong, despite the midfielder’s strong relationship with Erik ten Hag.

With just a few days remaining until the summer transfer window comes to an end, we will not have to wait for long to figure out what the future holds for these two Barcelona stars, amid intense speculations over their futures.
