Chelsea are reportedly closing in on a deal to sign Barcelona striker Pierre Emerick Aubameyang.
One insider who has known links with Barcelona, Gerard Romero, has even suggested last night that the deal ‘will be done this week.’
Sources: Chelsea already working on signing two new strikers for next summer!
Take that with a pinch of salt for now if I was you, but it certainly does seem like we are getting very close to the deal being done now.
Thomas Tuchel has been pushing for Aubameyang to lead his line this season as a short term fix, and the new Chelsea owners are doing all that they can to back him.
Romero was speaking on his usual Twitch transfer updates last night reporting all the latest happenings around Barcelona, as seen below.

As he says, he believes it is largely about getting the money in so they can register Jules Kounde in time to play at the weekend, and that is absolutely feasible. Let’s see if it happens.
