Official: Barcelona name 31-man squad for the 2022/23 UEFA Champions League

Barcelona have officially confirmed their 31-man squad for the group stages of the 2022/23 UEFA Champions League.

The Blaugrana begin their Champions League campaign on Wednesday when they lock horns with Viktoria Plzen in Group C. Having been eliminated from the group stages last season, they will be aiming to fare better this time out.

With the competition set to get underway, Barcelona have now released the full 31-man squad list that they have named for the group stages of the competition. The list comprises 22 first-team players and nine prospects from Barça Atletic and Juvenil A sides.

New signing Pablo Torre is named on the List A of the squad along with the first-team members even though he is part of the Atletic squad, as he is ineligible to be placed on List B.

The List B features players who have been at the club for at least three years and were born after 01 January 2001. Alejandro Balde, Arnau Tenas, Marc Casado and Alvaro Sanz from Barça Atletic and Gavi, Ilias Akhomach, Ander Astralaga and Alex Valle from Juvenil A side.

Apart from Viktoria Plzen, Barcelona will also face Bayern Munich and Inter Milan in their group and will have a huge challenge at their hands to qualify from the group.
