Wales manager Rob Page has signed a new four-year contract, committing to leading the team at this winter's World Cup in Qatar as well as the qualifying campaigns for Euro 2024 and the 2026 World Cup.
Page initially succeeded Ryan Giggs on an interim basis after he stepped back from the post to address legal issues, before the latter resigned from his position as he prepared to go on trial.
48-year-old Page was successful in leading Wales to their first World Cup appearance in 64 years, and has now taken on the job long-term after being offered the role by the FAW.
“There is no bigger honour than coaching your National Team and I can’t wait for the challenge the next four years will bring, starting with our first FIFA World Cup in 64 years," Page said. "This is an exciting time for Welsh football and I hope we can make the country proud in November and continue our success by qualifying for more major tournaments in the future."
FAW president Steve Williams added: "I am delighted that Rob and the FAW have agreed a four-year contract to take the Cymru Men’s National Team to the next stage.
"The FIFA World Cup is the perfect opportunity to show Wales on the world stage, and I am positive that Rob is the best person for the role, in Qatar and beyond."
Page has also secured Nations League A qualification for the first time during his time as Wales boss, and must now prepare for games against Belgium and Poland before taking his side to Qatar in November.
