Barcelona travelled to the Spanish capital on the weekend to play out one of the biggest games of the season against Atletico Madrid.
Ousmane Dembele’s early goal was enough for them to take all three points and narrowly escape a draw.
However, in search of silverware, the Blaugranes will take a trip to Saudi Arabia for the Spanish Super Cup this week. Real Betis is first on the cards, with the chance to face one of Real Madrid or Valencia in the finals if they qualify.
24 players will accompany Xavi on this quest. Robert Lewandowski missed the game against Atletico due to suspension, but has the green light to compete in the cup competition.
Jordi Alba was also not part of the team at the Metropolitano due to a red card given to him against Espanyol. He is in contention to start the Supercopa clash.
Xavi has the entire squad fit and available at his disposal for the first time this season. A trophy could serve as a morale boost for Barcelona and co.
