It’s the final day of the season as La Liga calls curtains to an incredible 2022/23 campaign, which saw Barcelona return to the pinnacle of Spanish football after three seasons without winning it.
They will now take on Celta Vigo for the last matchday, away at the Municipal de Balaidos. Carlo Carvalhal’s men are sitting a point above relegation places, and will be ready to give it their all against the Catalans.
There are several players missing from the squad list, including Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba. Both players have been given an incredible farewell by the club after their final home game in blaugranes.
They will not participate in Barcelona’s friendly against Vissel Kobe, either.
Ronald Araujo and Pedri had been ruled out for the rest of the season, and will not be travelling, either. Xavi wants the duo to get as much rest as possible ahead of the next season.
Alejandro Balde picked up a rather serious injury against Mallorca, and will take around two months to recover from the knock.
Xavi has called up several youth players for this game, including forward Marc Guiu, defensive midfielder Pau Prim, and forward Dani Rodriguez.
