In a shocking development, Ousmane Dembele could be set for a move to Paris Saint-Germain in the coming days.
This is according to Santi Aouna, who claims the Barça frontman has become an option for the French champions. The club want to close the deal in the next few days, as they look to activate the player’s €50 million release clause that expires at the end of the month.
A Replacement For Mbappe
PSG’s desire to close Dembele’s signing comes on the back of fears over the continuity of Kylian Mbappe. The French international is moving closer to joining Real Madrid this summer and in order to replace the forward, PSG have set their sights on Dembele.
PSG’s new boss Luis Enrique is a huge fan of the former Borussia Dortmund starlet and wants him to become a part of his attacking unit next season.

Dembele Wants To Stay At Barcelona
If PSG fail to sign Dembele by the end of the month, Dembele’s release clause would increase to €100 million. But apart from the looming deadline, PSG face another major hurdle in their bid to sign Dembele.
It appears the player himself is keen on remaining at Camp Nou, reports Mundo Deportivo.
This is hardly a surprise either as the Frenchman has enjoyed an excellent revival under Xavi Hernandez. He has enjoyed regular game-time and shares a healthy relationship with the Barcelona coach. He has been one of the club’s most consistent attackers since the start of 2022.
With Barça also looking to renew his contract, Dembele has no desire to leave Camp Nou. However, nothing can be ruled out just yet, especially when it comes to PSG, who are more than capable of breaking the bank if they need someone desperately.
