Barcelona forward Robert Lewandowski has scored just two goals in his last eight games across all competitions and judging by his standards, it remains a major cause of concern.
For what it is worth, the Poland international is not alone at fault, as he is not getting enough services in the first place and leading to the story, SPORT has affirmed that despite recent difficulties, the veteran forward is very much committed to the team and has set two objectives to prove his worth.
It must be remembered that Lewandowski injured his ankle during the away game against FC Porto in the Champions League, but he did manage to return for the home game against Real Madrid; a decision that was questioned by many.
What does it mean for the team?
When Lewandowski made an early return, his desire to help his teammates for El Clasico was applauded by many, although there were others who believed he should have given more time to recovery.
His willingness to return to action shows how competitive he is in his professional life and to prove that, he has set the objective to return to his peak form in the second half of the season.

Lewandowski is perfectly aware that, similar to Bayern in its prime, the current Barcelona side requires more time to attain its optimal state. Hence, he is looking forward to working closely with Xavi’s coaching staff to identify his ideal role on the field.
Keen on helping youngsters mature and grow
Images of a frustrated Lewandowski and Lamine Yamal hit the web during Barcelona’s 2-1 win over Alaves and many things were perceived out of context. Contrary to media reports, however, the event did not have any effect on the forward.
The aim of the attacking superstar is to recognise the need to elevate his performance to better support his team. And for that, he does not mind being the bad cop.
From the event, the only inference he made is this competitive attitude contributes to the maturing of younger players within the team and he is willing to do everything in power to the young guns.
