It has not been the easiest of seasons for FC Barcelona but there have been several positives to come out of it for the Catalan heavyweights, two of which happen to be Lamine Yamal and Pau Cubarsi.
The two La Masia graduates have exploded into the senior setup and made themselves household names in a short period of time.
While Yamal has been a part of the senior setup since the start of the season, Cubarsi broke into Xavi Hernandez’s side in January and has become a regular in two months.
Their breakthrough has not gone unnoticed for several top clubs have taken an interest in both Yamal and Cubarsi.

In fact, according to SPORT, PSG scouted Barcelona duo Cubarsi and Yamal during the Catalans’ UEFA Champions League Round of 16 second-leg tie against Napoli on Tuesday night.
Barça sources have confirmed that at least one accredited PSG coach was in the stands of Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys to watch the game live.
The Parisians had multiple incentives to spy on Barça for they could be drawn against the Catalans in the quarterfinals and secondly, they wanted to gauge the talents of the aforementioned La Masia duo.
As has been reported in the past, PSG are interested in Yamal, potentially as a replacement for the Real Madrid-bound Kylian Mbappe. In fact, some media outlet have gone as far as claiming that Barcelona have rejected a €200 million offer from the Ligue 1 champions.
It appears that Cubarsi, too, has caught their attention, which will likely have multiplied after his performance against Napoli this week.
Along with Cubarsi and Yamal, PSG are also understood to be interested in Frenkie de Jong, although he is currently injured and did not play against Napoli.
Despite the interest, Barcelona see Yamal and Cubarsi as the future of the club and are unlikely to sell either player even though the financial situation is not the best.
