Lotte Wubben-Moy tests positive for Covid-19

Wubben-Moy has been sent home

England have confirmed Lotte Wubben-Moy has tested positive for Covid-19, though have not ruled her out of the rest of Euro 2022.

The Lionesses opened the tournament on home soil with a 1-0 win over Austria on Wednesday evening in front of a record-crowd at Old Trafford.

Wubben-Moy was an unused substitute that night but could now miss the rest of the group stage after testing positive for Covid-19.

"Lotte Wubben-Moy has tested positive for Covid and has returned home. She will be monitored regularly with a view to returning to camp as soon as possible," a statement read.

Arsenal defender Wubben-Moy has made eight appearances for the England senior side.

England are next in action on Monday evening when they face Norway at the Amex Stadium in Brighton, before finishing the group stage against Northern Ireland at St Mary's in Southampton next Friday.

If England win Group A, they will face the runners-up from Group B back in Brighton on July 20. They will instead face Group B's winners in Brentford a day later if they finish second.
