Tottenham fans may start to ask questions of Antonio Conte after another disappointing attacking display from his side.
That’s according to former Hibernian striker Tam McManus, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about Spurs’ loss to Man United.
On Wednesday (19 October), Tottenham lost 2-0 at Old Trafford while only registering two shots on target (whoscored).
McManus has not been impressed with Spurs’ attacking output in recent weeks and claims the club’s fans are growing frustrated.
“They are a Conte team, they are hard to break down,” McManus told Football Insider‘s Ben Wild.
“But they don’t look as if they have stacks of goals in them. They missed a lot of chances in that Everton game, it was 1-0 for a long, long time.
“They have Son, Kane, Richarlison. They have real quality in those forward areas but I think Conte is quite a pragmatic coach.
“I don’t think he wants to score a load of goals, he is happy to win 1-0. In some of the games I have seen this season they are quite hard to watch, as a neutral.
“As long as you are winning, that’s fine. As long as you are getting results then fine but when you go to Old Trafford and play like that, Man United battered them.
“When you get a doing off your nearest challengers, the supporters might start asking questions.

“I think Conte is happy with the style and winning 1-0 but I don’t think that’s the way Spurs want to play.
“If they start losing games and continue to look turgid going forward then the fans might start to ask a few questions.”
