Liverpool are ready to splash out £71million to land an outstanding midfield talent this summer, while Barcelona are set to sell a trio of top stars and Sunday’s Transfer Gossip claims that Crystal Palace have already earmarked a replacement for Wilfried Zaha.
KLOPP READY TO LAND MIDFIELD GAME-CHANGER
Liverpool are reportedly ready to launch an €80million (£71m) bid to land a game-changing Real Madrid midfielder this summer.
Jurgen Klopp is expected to completely overhaul an engine room that has completely run out of legs this season, with several top names tipped to head to Anfield.
Jude Bellingham remains Klopp’s top target, but the England man could cost in the region of £130m. To that end, other targets are emerging, with Real star Aurelien Tchouameni chief among them.
The 23-year-old was reportedly a priority target for the Reds before the Spanish giants managed to secure his services.
And a report from El Nacional claims that Real are prepared to sell the player at the end of the season because of his underwhelming problems, injury issues and questionable attitude.
That has led to renewed Liverpool interest in the talented midfielder, with the Anfield outfit ready to offer £71m to land the France international.
Klopp tipped to get best out of Tchouameni
That sort of money is sure to tempt Real into a sale, given that it will fund moves for other targets.
Liverpool are in desperate need of a quality defensive midfielder and Tchouameni would be considered an upgrade on aging stars Fabinho and Jordan Henderson on Merseyside.
Indeed, Klopp is being tipped to help the young midfielder develop his game and to fulfill his immense talent at Liverpool.
A move away from Real Madrid could also be ideal for the player as well, given his issues with the club’s hierarchy.
BARCELONA TO CASH IN ON TRIO OF STARS
Barcelona are starting to plan transfer ins and outs for next season and that includes selling a trio of Premier League targets.
The Catalan giants are open offers for Ansu Fati, Raphinha and Ferran Torres as they prepare a revamp of their attacking options this summer.
Sport reports that Barca president, Joan Laporta, already warned several weeks ago that there would be sales, with players are struggling for first-team minutes the most susceptible.
And Manchester United target Ansu Fati and Torres, who is wanted by Arsenal and Tottenham, certainly fit into that category.
Barcelona have already talked to Fati’s representatives to dicuss clubs interested in signing him, which includes United. An, although the player is keen on staying put, Nou Camp chiefs will consider suitable offers for his signature.
As for Torres, the player himself still believes he can be a success at the club and does not want to go.
But with the north London duo showing a firm interest, along with Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid, Barca are open to selling – as long as they recoup their £48million outlay.
Potential Raphinha exit comes as big surprise
Raphinha’s potential exit is an odd one, however.
The Brazilian has taken full advantage of Ousmane Dembele’s injury problems to become a regualr starter under Xavi.
However, the report adds that Barcelona consider him an asset that can recoup big money, considering the Premier League clubs who are chasing him.
Chelsea were known to have hunted Raphinha last summer, while Arsenal have also been linked in the past.
But whatever happens this summer, it looks like a fire sale will happen at the Nou Camp, which is certain to keep all eyes on Catalonia.
PALACE LINE UP IDEAL ZAHA REPLACEMENT
Sunderland winger Jack Clarke is being watched by Crystal Palace as a potential replacement for Wilfried Zaha leaves.
The Eagles were actually interested in the 22-year-old when he was at Leeds and watched on as a dazzled against Hull in an epic 4-4 draw on Good Friday.
The talented winger started out at the Elland Road academy and earned a senior call-up in 2018.
He notched up two goals and two assists in 28 appearances for the Whites before heading to Tottenham.
However, Clarke struggled to make an impression in north London and was loaned back to Leeds before also having temporary stints at QPR, Stoke and then Sunderland.
The attacker then joined the Black Cats in a permanent deal in July and has had a hugely impressive campaign. Indeed, Clarke has scored 10 goals and also has nine assists in 42 appearances this season.
Zaha’s contract with Palace comes to an end in June and there are no signs he will put pen to paper on a new deal.
Indeed, both West Ham and Newcastle are said to be looking at making a summer move for the player.
